Terms & Policies
Last updated: May 30, 2026
1. Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of STAK ("the Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Refund Policy.
Minimum Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use STAK. By creating an account or using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age. If STAK becomes aware that a user is under 18, the account will be terminated immediately.
Platform Purpose
STAK is a job-matching platform designed to connect candidates and employers. It provides tools for discovering job opportunities and talent. STAK does not guarantee interviews, job offers, employment outcomes, or hiring decisions. All job search and hiring activities involve inherent risks, and STAK bears no responsibility for the results or lack thereof.
Job Listings and Application Process
STAK features two distinct types of job listings, each with different application processes and legal implications:
Internal Job Listings: These are jobs posted directly by employers on the STAK platform. When a candidate "Likes" or swipes on an Internal Job Listing, it constitutes an expression of interest within the STAK platform. The employer can review the candidate's profile and respond directly through STAK. Both the candidate and employer must mutually express interest before a match is established and communication can begin.
External Job Listings: These are job opportunities aggregated from third-party sources and displayed on STAK for informational purposes only. Your interaction with an External Job Listing — including "Liking," "Saving," or viewing details — does NOT constitute a job application. To apply for an External Job Listing, you must follow the provided link and complete the application process directly on the external employer's or third-party platform's website. STAK does not automatically submit applications, act as an intermediary, or represent users in any capacity for External Job Listings. Any claims, issues, or disputes arising from external job applications must be directed to the respective employer or third-party platform. STAK is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or content of External Job Listings.
User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for ensuring that all information provided on the platform is accurate, current, and lawful. Employers are solely responsible for compliance with applicable employment, labor, and anti-discrimination laws. Candidates are solely responsible for the accuracy of their profile, resume, and credentials.
Intellectual Property
STAK and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by STAK and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. By submitting content to STAK (including profile data, job listings, and messages), you grant STAK a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform. You retain all ownership of your content.
Account Suspension and Termination
STAK reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable laws, including conduct involving fraud, harassment, misuse, or abuse of the platform. STAK may terminate access at any time, with or without notice, at its sole discretion.
Subscriptions and Billing
Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled prior to the end of the billing period. Subscription charges, cancellations, and refunds are governed by the Refund Policy. Subscription fees are not contingent on employment outcomes.
Third-Party Links and Services
The Platform contains links to third-party websites and services, including External Job Listings, that are not owned or controlled by STAK. STAK has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. STAK is not responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused by use of or reliance on content, goods, or services available on or through such third-party websites.
Disclaimer of Warranties
STAK is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. STAK does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall STAK, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, suppliers, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from: (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Platform; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Platform, including any External Job Listings; (iii) any content obtained from the Platform; (iv) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content; or (v) any employment outcomes, or lack thereof, resulting from use of the Platform — whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless STAK and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Platform or violation of these Terms; (b) your profile content, job listings, or messages; (c) your interaction with any user; or (d) your application for, or employment in, any job listed on STAK, whether Internal or External.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be settled by binding arbitration in Phoenix, Arizona, in accordance with the Streamlined Arbitration Rules of JAMS. Judgment upon the arbitration award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in this section shall prevent either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Modifications to These Terms
STAK reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a prominent in-app notice. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any modification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and STAK with respect to the Platform.
By using STAK, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service, as well as our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Refund Policy.
2. Refund Policy
This Refund Policy outlines how subscription charges are handled on STAK. By subscribing to a paid plan, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.
Subscription Cancellation
Subscriptions may be canceled at any time through your account Settings or the billing portal. Upon cancellation, access to paid features will remain active until the end of the current billing period. No partial-period credits are issued upon cancellation.
Refund Eligibility
STAK does not offer refunds for unused subscription time, changes in usage, or failure to use paid features during the billing period. Refunds are not provided based on job application outcomes, interview results, or employment status — STAK is a matching platform and does not guarantee any employment-related results for either Internal or External Job Listings.
Refunds are issued only in cases of:
- Verified billing errors (e.g., duplicate charges)
- Platform-related technical failures that prevent access to core paid features for more than 72 consecutive hours, as confirmed by STAK's engineering team
Determination of refund eligibility is made at STAK's sole discretion.
Requesting a Refund
Eligible refund requests must be submitted within seven (7) days of the original charge date. Requests submitted outside this window will not be considered. To submit a request, contact us at Support@stakconnect.com with your account email, the charge date, and a description of the issue.
No Guarantees
Subscription fees pay for access to STAK's matching platform and features — not for employment outcomes. STAK does not guarantee matches, employer responses, interviews, job offers, or hiring of any kind. Subscription charges are non-refundable based on dissatisfaction with job market outcomes.
This Refund Policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to all paid subscriptions on STAK.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
STAK is a professional platform built to connect candidates and employers in a respectful, transparent, and lawful environment. To protect the integrity of the platform and its users, all activity must comply with the standards below.
Prohibited Conduct
Users may not engage in any of the following, including but not limited to:

External Job Listings — Specific Obligations
External Job Listings are sourced from third-party platforms and are displayed on STAK for informational purposes only. Users must not misuse these listings, attempt to circumvent their application processes, or hold STAK responsible for the accuracy, availability, or outcomes of any external listing. Applications for External Jobs must be completed directly on the external employer's platform. STAK takes no responsibility for, and makes no representations about, the hiring practices of external employers.
User-Generated Content
Users are solely responsible for all content they submit to STAK, including profile information, job listings, and messages. STAK reserves the right to review, remove, or restrict any content that violates this policy or applicable law, without prior notice. Removal of content does not constitute a waiver of STAK's right to take additional action.
Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior that violates this policy, use the in-app "Report" feature on the relevant profile, job listing, or message. You may also contact us directly at Support@stakconnect.com. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team and treated confidentially.
Enforcement
STAK reserves the right to investigate violations of this policy and take appropriate action at its sole discretion. This may include warnings, temporary suspension, permanent account removal, restriction of access to platform features, and referral to law enforcement where applicable.
By using STAK, you agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
